Security Observatory expert Sergiusz Parszowski has become a member of the Organising Committee of the Droniad Challenge 2024 (full list at: https://droniada.eu/komitet-organizacyjny/).

This technology competition has been organised since 2014 as a multidisciplinary competition. The competition is accompanied by conferences, workshops and drone demonstrations. Droniad 2024 is an event that will focus on drones as flying robots, ICT and information analysis systems. As in previous editions, it will also promote cloud computing, machine learning supported by elements of artificial intelligence, and will emphasise the combination of change detection with a precision drop mechanism.

Participants in the Droniad Challenge will be able to choose among three competitions in automatic (digital) mode and one special competition in manual (analogue) mode. Teams participating in the digital competitions will be required to enter the ‘System Demo’ competition. Teams of the analogue competition, on the other hand, will have to pass a test of basic BSP operating skills.

The event is open to universities, research and development institutions, Industry 4.0 technology companies and innovators.

Droniada Challenge 2024 will take place from 3-9 June at the Champs de Mars in the Silesian Park in Chorzów. As part of the Droniada Challenge 2024, the Droniada Tech by Silesian University of Technology conference will be held on 4-5 June at the Silesian Park in Chorzów. The conference will be preceded by a series of four expert debates focusing on selected sectors. The conference agenda is available at: https://droniada.eu/droniada-tech-by-politechnika-slaska-agenda-konferencji/.

In addition, there will be a Droniad Expo and GovTech Zone, which will showcase drones, robots and robotic transport systems.
