On 4 March, we joined the Crisis Management Working Group of the Map Aid Network.

A meeting was held on 4 March, attended by 25 representatives of organisations belonging to Sieć Mapuj Pomoc.

Cooperation between local authorities and NGOs

At the meeting, issues of intersectoral cooperation were discussed. Paweł Figurski, guest of the meeting, pointed out what problems arise in cooperation between local authorities and NGOs and what should be worked on to improve this cooperation.

Handbook of good humanitarian aid practice

The second part of the meeting dealt with the conception of the work of the Crisis Management Working Group dealing, among other things, with the creation of a manual on Best Standards and Practices for Humanitarian Assistance implemented by NGOs and an information booklet on the behaviour of the population during a crisis.

The manual will be open access. Knowledge will be gathered through meetings of thematic groups, then analysed by experts in humanitarian aid. Input to the handbook will come from all organisations and their representatives.

Working Groups

In addition to the Crisis Management Working Group, to Sieć Mapuj Pomoc also operates:

  • Advocacy Working Group

and

  • Working Group on Countering Disinformation.
