We are pleased to announce that an expert from our think tank will be a participant in an event on the latest innovations in public space protection.

Timing of the event

On 27 March 2025, a cross-border event will be held in Slovenia with security stakeholders.

Event venue

The event is hosted by the first European Capital of Culture Without Borders Nova Gorica together with Gorizia.

Organisers of the event

The event will be the culmination of SAFE-CITIES and will be preceded by the SAFE-CITIES General Assembly meeting. During the meeting, partners will summarise the work done, provide updates on current progress and plan final actions. There will also be a training session for invited stakeholders.

Project progress meetings, internal trainings and preparatory sessions will also take place during the week.

Topics of the event

The main theme of the event will be innovations in the protection of public spaces.

The official presentation includes:

  • Security Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) framework – integrating a participatory model and security-based approach for proactive risk assessment.
  • Advanced Software Tools – capable of conducting static vulnerability assessments and simulating dynamic threat scenarios using serious gaming methodologies.
  • Intuitive Dashboards – providing clear, practical insights for security assessments and decision-making.
