Change of status Komitetu Technicznego 306 ds. Bezpieczeństwa Powszechnego i Ochrony Ludności

On the initiative of Stowarzyszenia Instytut Budownictwa Ochronnego i in cooperation with Obserwatorium Bezpieczeństwa changes have been made to the status Komitetu Technicznego 306.

The status of Technical Committee 306 on Universal Security and Civil Protection has been changed from ‘passive’ to ‘active’ status in the international committee ISO/TC 292 Security and resilience overseeing standardisation in the field of security to enhance the security and resilience of society.

Komitet Techniczny 306 (Technical Committee 306)

Komitet Techniczny 306 carries out standardisation work covering:
  • integrated border management,
  • critical infrastructure,
  • protection and defence against WMD,
  • protection of citizens against phenomena threatening their life and health or causing material damage, and minimisation of their consequences,
  • counter-terrorism,
  • supply chain security,
  • emergency services,
  • dealing with the consequences of the use of WMD,
  • dealing with the consequences of natural disasters,
  • reducing the risk of crimes committed with products and services.

In addition, it cooperates with European and international technical committees. One of these committees is the aforementioned ISO/TC 292 Security and resilience.

European Committee CEN/TC 391

At European level, Komitet Techniczny 306 cooperates with CEN/TC 391 Societal and Citizen Security, , which covers the scope of its standardisation work:

  • natural disasters,
  • terrorism,
  • organised crime,
  • border security,
  • management of destabilising events,
  • business continuity management,
  • infrastructure.
