On October 27, 2022, on the grounds of Czocha Castle, our experts conducted a specialized training on how to deal with suspected infection with Sars-CoV-2 or another infectious disease. The participants of the event were representatives of fire protection units from the Luban District and from the state of Saxony in Germany.

The training was conducted in two parts, theoretical and practical. In the first segment, the principles of disinfection of rooms and workplaces, the proper use of personal protective equipment, dealing with suspected virus infection, cooperation with sanitary and public order services, and dealing with waste under epidemic conditions were presented. In the second segment, a practical instruction on the correct donning and doffing of personal protective equipment was conducted.

The training was conducted as part of the project “Kom(m)ando – joint protection against the effects of climate change” co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Poland-Saxony INTERREG Cooperation Program 2014-2020.
